To minimise any time and energy on travel and eliminate your risk of contracting any transmittable diseases, Fit and Well Physiotherapy offer telephone and video consultations (telehealth) that you can undertake in the comfort of your own home.
There is evidence that telehealth appointments are as effective for providing pain management as other conventional health care delivery methods.*
For a video consultation, you will require a device that has access to the internet. The video platform we use is a purely browser based, closed system, so you won’t ever have to worry about downloading the latest update minutes beforehand or risking that your information will be available to anyone else outside the practice. Any device that can stream a youtube video will have sufficient capacity to undertake a video consultation, and the consultation can start with the click of a button.
Telephone consultations will require that you have a reliable telephone connection. We will call your nominated mobile or landline number.
